About me

My name is Evgenia Kogai. I am a psychological counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults, couples and families.
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations that are hard to change using familiar methods. A professional perspective helps clarify what is happening, see the causes of recurring difficulties, and determine what exactly can be changed.
For me, psychotherapy is a collaborative process where a person can better understand themselves, their feelings, and needs, look at their life situation in a new way, and find ways of coping that are appropriate for them.
I have been in private practice for over three years. I conduct individual, couples and family consultations consultations online worldwide and in person in South Korea. I work in Russian and English.
Professional training
I have completed professional retraining in psychological counseling and psychotherapy and continue to study modern areas of individual and family psychotherapy.
I receive regular professional supervision — a professional process that supports reflection on therapeutic work. That helps analyze therapeutic work and maintain its quality.
I have been in personal therapy for over seven years. I consider it, along with education, supervision, and constant professional development, an important part of a psychotherapist's preparation and responsibility.
In my work, I especially value respect for each person’s individuality, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and an attentive attitude toward their experience.

Education and professional development
My primary therapeutic framework is Transactional Analysis. It helps explore how life experience, relationships, and established scripts continue to influence a person's self-perception, choices, and relationships in adulthood.
Depending on the client’s situation and therapy goals, I integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy and Attachment Theory.
This approach allows for viewing difficulties from different angles: taking into account not only the current problem but also related feelings, beliefs, habitual response patterns, life experience, and relationships with others.
I do not use universal solutions or limit myself to the framework of a single method. The direction and methods of work are selected based on the person's personality, history, situation, and therapy goals.
If necessary, I use metaphorical associative cards as an additional tool for exploring internal experience.
